Within every growth of flora and each  cluster of green, there resides " The Heart of the Forest". This is an age-old energy and a source of inspiration for creative expression.

Young children often scamper to collect wildflowers in meadows or vibrant leaves in autumn; the art and craft of"Heart of the Forest" invoke this same spontaneity. The viewer is invited to touch, hold and handle any and every art and craft item, if desired.

My interpretation of "Heart of the Forest" focuses on wildflowers, relics of our pastoral heritage, and natural spaces which offer respite from the demands of daily routines and workplaces; such elements also create a stage for social convening.

The places in which I have personally experienced " Heart of the Forest" are currently in the places where I work and live.  And so, in this modest exhibit, places referenced are the Caledon Hills, Ontario and High Park, Toronto.
